Since this is AU (Alternate Universe) as of the start of the story, most Book Five canon events will not occur, including the highly-protested character death. However, some people and historical facts introduced in Book Five will be incorporated into the story. Some minor facts in previously posted chapters were corrected to conform to new Canon. I begin using some Book Five characters in my Chapter 38.
This story will not be completed before the release of Half-Blood Prince. If feasible, I may incorporate some Book 6 characters or facts. I will include an author's note in the first chapter that contains significant spoilers for Book 6.
Characters, good and bad, from all six books are at risk, as are some originals, except I won't kill off Harry, Sirius, or Addie for sure, and -probably- Ron, Hermione, Draco, Rachel, Severus, AmeliaCrafter are safe. Neither Trelawney nor my muses have confirmed any other characters' lifespans (or health) at this time.
As available and relevant, I will also include various facts revealed by JKR in interviews, chats, and her website (such as Ron's middle name, Ginny's full name, Molly's maiden name, Weasley birthdays).
Also, the finale of this story (no sequel planned at this time) will occur in the Fall of Year Five, possibly Halloween, but that might change. It will definitely -not- cover the entire school year. Some reviewers have been concerned that with 50 chapters long before 'Sept 1', the full story might be excessive. I'm not nearly done, but I'm probably over halfway there.
