This story begins after the events of Book Six, and will therefore have extensive spoilers for the entire Harry Potter series-to-date. Also, it will probably be confusing if you have not read Book Six. If you haven't read Half-Blood Prince yet, please bookmark this story for later. Spoilers will occur immediately. Still there? Thanks! I'll be mostly following JKR canon (all books for sure; most website/interviews) as long as possible. I doubt that much of this story will match the eventual Book Seven. I won't usually contradict book canon, but I will likely take it in unlikely directions. I know that I will violate some 'interview' canon, either because I didn't know about it and didn't want to change, or because I just didn't want to notice it. :-) The first scene contradicts interview canon, I'll admit, but can be dithered away regarding book canon by saying that everyone thought otherwise (you'll know what I mean when you read it.) the-dreamer - revised 8 Nov 2005
